The Neighborhood Center of West Volusia is seeking students ages 14-22 who attend school or live in West Volusia to design one-of-a-kind T-shirts to increase awareness of the center’s mission to serve the homeless, feed the hungry, and prevent homelessness in West Volusia.

The winner will be announced at the center’s Friday, Oct. 11, “Robed In Love” breakfast event as the designer of the official 2020 Neighborhood Center T-shirt, along with receiving $100 in Mainstreet Dollars and two T-shirts.

The Neighborhood Center will display the winning design for one year on its property and share the news far-and-wide online and beyond!

Entering is easy. Artists create their design and tell The Neighborhood Center in 250 words or fewer how the design helps promote the center’s mission. It must be submitted by midnight Sunday, Sept. 15.

The T-shirt design must incorporate the following:

* Only three colors: Red, black, gray (white space is permitted, too)

* A house image

* A heart image, and

* The hashtag #LoveLocal

A shortlisting judging panel will consist of staff, volunteers and donors. Designs will be judged based on quality and relevance.

The final round of submissions will be placed in the hands of The Neighborhood Center’s Facebook fans for judging Sept. 17-22.

Details and a link to upload designs can be found on the center’s website as a News Release at nhcwv.org or at this special contest link: tinyurl.com/nhctshirtcontest.
