DeLand Area Chamber of Commerce / Orange City Alliance, along with title sponsor Cobb Cole and other contributing sponsors, hosted the annual West Volusia Means Business: State of the Region luncheon on Thursday, April 7th at The Center at Deltona.

This highly anticipated yearly event featuring topics of interest to all West Volusia residents. The six mayors of West Volusia including DeBary, DeLand, Deltona, Lake Helen, Orange City and Pierson offered insight into the past, present, and future plans of each city.

Presentations were made in an interactive and engaging Q&A format, as well as mayoral messages and city visual presentations. Rob Doan, Chamber Past President moderated the event virtually in 2020 and 2021, and was back to host in person for 2022.

Elizabeth Godwin, 2022 Board President, along with the chamber Legislative Affairs Committee, welcomed over 200 guests including dignitaries representing at the local, regional and state level. The State of the Region was live streamed on Deltona TV and catered by Sonny’s BBQ of DeLand.
