With monthly events, live bands, weekly specials and plenty of beer on tap, City Limits Taproom and Grille in DeLand is the place to be every day of the week!
“We’re like a mini-destination,” said owner Pete Ferrentino. “The events, the atmosphere, the food… If you’re here, you can enjoy the whole experience.”
Celebrating their one-year anniversary at their new location, City Limits Taproom and Grille has been around since 2015 as more than just the best bar in town. “One day we’re a sports bar, the next we’re a night-club, then we’re a restaurant, and then you’re at some sort of music festival,” said Pete.
“We have a good atmosphere, live music, food and tons of events,” said City Limits’ events manager Shanna Sage. “City Limits is the place to be!”
Featuring multiple events each month, City Limits is gearing up for their annual Halloween Party on Saturday, Oct. 29. “It’s going to be an all-day event,” said Shanna. “There will be a Costume Contest with over $1,000 in prizes, live music with The Rundown, food trucks, and Wise Axe will be there, as well as a fire performer.”
A family-friendly event, there will be a kids’ costume contest around noon, and the after-hours adults contest will take place in the evening.
City Limits will also be hosting a Christmas party on Saturday, Dec. 3. “There will be tons of festivities,” said Shanna. “There will be a holiday costume contest, a live band, food trucks, and a sexy Santa and Mrs. Claus.”
With a full liquor bar and great food, City Limits has multiple specials throughout the week. They have a $5 wing special on Mondays, a $10 rack-of-ribs special on Thursdays, and a taco Tuesday special that offers $2 fish tacos, $3 shrimp tacos and $5 margaritas. “You can’t afford to make it for what we sell it for,” said Pete.
City Limits is on more than 3 acres, offers rental space for events, is pet-friendly, and is 21+ after 9 p.m.
City Limits Taproom and Grille is located at 4425 North U.S. Highway 17 in DeLand. They are open seven days a week: Monday–Saturday, 11 a.m.–2 a.m. and 11 a.m.–9 p.m. on Sunday.
