Before his globe-trotting on Christmas Eve, Santa will make some trips around DeLand this holiday season, and here’s where you can see him. Kicking off the city’s Winter Wonder DeLand, Jolly St. Nick will appear at two events Friday, Dec. 2.

First is the annual Christmas tree lighting outside of DeLand City Hall, 120 S. Florida Ave., and the lighting of the MainStreet DeLand Association’s holiday wreath in Pioneer Park, 100 E. Rich Ave. The Christmas tree lighting will begin at 5:30 p.m., and then Santa will move to Pioneer Park to light the wreath at 6 p.m.

Beginning Dec. 2, following those events, Santa will begin the first of his trips around DeLand. Starting at Fire Station 81, 343 W. Howry Ave., Santa will take a new route and visit a new neighborhood 6-7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, Friday, Dec. 9, Saturday, Dec. 10, and Dec. 15-19.
