The DeLand Police Department responded to Stetson University campus housing Saturday night to conduct an investigation.
Police officers responded at 7:50 p.m. to on-campus housing after a male student was found unresponsive. The male, later identified as 21-year-old Kaleb Walker, was later pronounced deceased.
Based on a preliminary investigation, foul play is not suspected in Walker’s death.
DeLand Police’s Criminal Investigations Division is investigating as a matter of protocol, and we are working with Stetson University’s Campus Public Safety team. More information will be released as it becomes available.
