On March 30, The Iota Kappa Kappa Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. hosted the Third Annual Dr. Joyce M. Cusack Easter Egg Hunt and Festival at Spring Hill Park in DeLand.

In partnership with the Spring Hill Community Redevelopment Agency, the free event provided Easter fun for the kids and welcomed community members to interact with representatives of local social service agencies, health care services, public safety, first responders, and churches.

In addition to the thrill of an Easter Egg Hunt, raffle tickets were handed out to young attendees. Tickets corresponded to more than half a dozen bicycles that were gifted to those in attendance. Robert Wilson, a prior Basileus of the Iota Kappa Kappa chapter of Omega Psi Phi looks forward to next year’s event where he would “love to have even more children and organizations participate.”

Throughout the entire calendar year, The Joyce M. Cusack Resource Center, located at 489 W. Mathis Street in DeLand, provides a variety of community resources to members of the Spring Hill community — including assistance with job searches, resume creation, notary services, and other income based assistance programs.
