Just in time for Thanksgiving, the City of Deltona is giving away 500 turkeys, free of charge, to city residents on a first-come, first-served basis.
The turkey giveaway will occur at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, at Deltona City Hall, 2345 Providence Blvd.
Those wishing to pick up a free turkey must prove they live inside the city limits, by showing a state-issued identification document, such as a driver’s license.
Utility bills will not be accepted as proof of residency.
There is a limit of one turkey per family.
