The Rotaract Club of DeLand staged its first Derby Day fundraiser May 1, featuring games, food, live music and race-watching. The event raised money for a New Smyrna Beach nonprofit that uses horses in equine therapy. Rotaract officers this year are President Kayla Ferriero, Vice President Anslee Holland, Treasurer Wade Hunter and Secretary Lauren Marciano. Rotaract is a Rotary Club for young adults.
