Gov. Ron DeSantis recently announced the appointment of Forough Hosseini and three others to the Florida Children and Youth Cabinet.

Hosseini, of Ormond Beach, is senior vice president of information systems for ICI Homes. She is the founder and chair of Food Brings Hope, a member of the United Way Foundation Board, a life member and past board member of the Museum of Arts & Sciences and a past chair of the Daytona State College District Board of Trustees.

Hosseini earned her bachelor’s degree in computer science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and her MBA from the University of Central Florida.

Also appointed were Jessica Costello of Tampa, a County Court judge in the 13th Judicial Circuit; Corey Simon of Tallahassee, the chief executive officer of Volunteer Florida and president of the Big Bend Pop Warner Football League; and Sandra Himmel of Inverness, the Citrus County superintendent of schools.
