SUPPORT FOR UKRAINE — War protesters demonstrate in London’s Trafalgar Square Feb. 27. A note from the photographer: “Regarding the placard on the left, it’s claimed that a Ukrainian woman told a Russian soldier ‘Take these seeds and put them in your pockets, so at least sunflowers will grow when you die down there.’” PHOTO BY ALISDARE HICKSON VIA FLICKR.COM

Editor, The Beacon:

God bless the people of Ukraine. This is your finest hour, your fight to remain free. This reminds me of Sept. 1, 1939, when Hitler invaded Poland. This is the start of the end?

Soon China will take a shot at this with Taiwan/Formosa. There’s a good chance that North Korea and Iran will jump in. Why not start trouble all over …

This is when weakness shows; bullies come out. We have to and should help the Ukrainians any way we can. Maybe we’ll finally show the world that this can’t stand, and America has your back. This could really multiply into something bigger than we expect.

America, you don’t know how unsafe we are … To arms for God and country.
