Editor, The Beacon:
Having grown up here in the DeLand area since 1968, I am saddened to see our hometown newspaper turn into a mouthpiece for one-sided politics and culture.
I just reread the past two weeks of The Beacon to confirm that it is overwhelmingly tilted to the Democratic Party and its agenda. The comments, editorials, perspectives on social and political issues are without a doubt anti-conservative, anti-Republican and lopsided.
Please reconsider reporting in a more balanced fashion to include the other half of your readers’ perspective.
I do however deeply appreciate the local events reporting. They help keep the rest of us interested and engaged.
