Volusia County Water Resources and Utilities has rescinded the precautionary boil water notice for Volusia County Utility customers in the cities of DeBary and Orange City who receive water from the Southwest Interconnect Public Water System.
The Sunday, Sept. 17, notice was lifted today after required testing confirmed the water meets Florida Department of Health standards.
The precautionary boil water notice was issued after an electrical issue temporarily disrupted water service, causing water pressure to drop below the minimum regulatory level. Customers who have questions can call Volusia County Utilities Operations at 386-822-6465.
