Editor, The Beacon:

This is a response to one of Tanner Andrews’ opinion columns. (I do wish you could print poetry in your newspaper).

Customer service? Today?

You try to contact customer service,

But they’ve hidden their telephone number.

Frustration mounts, playing in this circus.

Hurray! You found it and got an answer!

But it is a recording that you hear.

They claim to value your business, a lie.

Many baffling options torture your ear.

Now waiting; cobwebs form, still no reply.

At long last! A voice with a strong accent.

Friendly, but you just cannot understand.

Such bad service brings tears. What a lament!

It is so much more than you can withstand.

Then they want you to please take a survey,

To rate from one to 10 your deep dismay.
